I have recently purchased a '99 S80 with 97,000 miles.
I notice a shudder in the transmission between shifting with gears 2-3 when the transmission warms up. I found a TSB that said a shift solenoid is the culprit.
In order to repair, many hours of labor become involved. Are there other significant transmission problems with this vehicle that may prompt me to just replace the transmission while the labor is already going to be as involved?
Are there any repercussions to driving the vehicle as it is with the shudder - is it hurting anything?
Comfy seats...
