Hello,
I bought a used 2001 V70 T5 with a manual transmission with 40k miles on the clock. We have had a few warrantee visits (Climate Control, Throttle Body, Dash Cupholder, etc) since getting the car a few thousand miles ago.
I just noticed, while doing an oil change, some coolant drips. Removing the plasitc cover below the radiator, I found a very small leak coming from the passenger side bottom corner of the radiator. The coolant color was green. My worry is that the dealer may not honor this as a warrantable repair if it was shown that the previous own goofed something up.
So, what was the Volvo coolant color that came with 2001 models? Please say green. Also, is the Volvo coolant G48 type coolant or is it similar to the GM long life Dexcool crap? The condition of the radiator is excellent, no visible damage.
Also, the off idle torque, even up to 2500rpm is just not right for a 250-ish hp / 250-ish ft-lb motor. I believe the ECU programming is holding the wastegate opened slightly through this range. I had a similar, but much less prononced, problem with our Saab and fixed it by installing an MBC in series with the BPC. The MBC is tuned for much less than maximum stock pressure.
Has anyone had luck doing this? Does anyone have instructions for this installation? I tried searching these and other boards, but found no topics.
Thanks in advance.
Have a good day,
tony b
