Picnic Table - Will it fit a 2000 V70? V70-XC70

Greetings All -

According to the dealer, the accessory picnic table that is currently offered for the V70 will only fit 2001 and up models. Is this really the case, or will it fit my 2000 V70? If not, was there a different picnic table available for the 2000 models, and is it a case of simply needing the right part number? Thanks.
