Transmission Inop 850 1994

My car will not move in ant gear. I had a problem with the car changing gears. In the morning, the car would not shift gears as I was driving and the tachometer would peak out. I usually drove the car a few miles in 3rd and then shift it into Drive. Took it to a transmission shop, they stated they could not find the problem and recommended dropping the transmission. I decline and continue driving it but last night the car started but would not move in any gear. Any ideas would be appreciated.
