HELP!!! 93 850 won't start

Hello all I've got a 93 850 that won't start at all. Fuel pump is pumping there is pressure at the rail and there is spark. But the one thing that is not happening is that there is no fuel coming out of the injectors. If I run direct power to the rail from the battery then fuel squirts out and will start. Is there a relay or sensor that sends a signal to the injector rail telling it to open? also getting code 144 ( load signal missing ). Any ideas? Thanks
