Hi All. last week I brought my 850 in for repair. We had a ton of work done. Thermosat, waterpump etc. Neither of which were a problem before, but were replaced before they presented a problem. Anyway, When I picked the car up...which was after hours, the radiator light was on...this was not on before the car went in for service. The fluid was low, despite the fact on the invoice it said fluid filled. We put fluid in and brought the car home. Last night I tried to drive the car and there was no heat...or at least the blower would not come on at all. We have a new baby and I really need to fix this problem I cannot drive it w/o the heat...we just paid the replair place $2100 for the work that was just done. Our volvo book says if these problems occur right afer major repair has been done, to check to make sure someting has not been knocked loose. When I mentioned this to the mechanic, he said no that it probably needed a new blower and something else...anther 300 which we would have to wait to fix. As far as the car needed more fluid even though we paid for them to fill it, he sais there was probably an air bubble. Would and air bubble require the car to need more than a 1/2 gallon of fluid?
Any thoughts as to what else he problem could be? Or how we may be able to fix it ourselves?
I really appreciate your help.
Thank you.
