I have a 1995 850 GLT (non-turbo) and had both O2 sensors replaced last year (both were dead) right after having a new (aftermarket) catalytic converter installed.
A few weeks ago check engine light came on again.
Car repair shop checked it with OBD II and told me it’s a dead rear O2 sensor. They don’t want to replace it anymore because they have no idea what causes the sensor to die and told me to go to a Volvo dealer. NOW THAT IS AN EXPENSIVE TRIP
So I want to order sensor from ipd and install myself but do I risk a broken O2 sensor within the year again….anybody knows what could have caused it????? (ps. There are no airleakes in the cat converter)…
Please help!!!
