Throttle Position Sensor 850 1993

Hi, in the past year, fault code 4-1-1 (Throttle Position Sensor voltage out of range) has been causing the Check Engine light to come on. I've had the sensor replaced twice now only to have the same fault code reappear within days. this last time, it came back the next day). Has anyone else had similar problems? If so, have you identified a solution?

There are no other real symptoms associated with it. The car drives normally, with the exception of this last time after changing the sensor. As I was driving the car down the freeway, it all of a sudden became sluggish over 2500rpm in basically any gear. After coming to a stop at an exit and then starting up again, the problem didn't manifest itself again. I took it to my local independent volvo mechanic who replaced the air flow meter but the check engine light still comes back after driving a few miles. He still has the car and is kind of stumped as to what is causing this, as am I!

Any help/opinions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
