AC & HEAT not working. Fan OK V70-XC70 1998

For s70/v70 models (1998),

Fan works just fine.

No AC...so car is hot in summer
No Heat...so car is cold in winter.


Does anyone have any solution?
Do BOTH problems share something in common or these are 2 separate problems?
