CE Light 850

My 95 went into limp mode and after a restart is normal again. Car does this periodically. But this time I now get a Check Engine light. The CE light comes on after 10 seconds when the car is started and gets cleared when I turn the car off. So I cant get any codes off the computer. Car drives normal. What could it be? Any ideas?
