I have a 95 850 turbo wagon. About six weeks ago my rear passenger side upper shock mounting bracket broke so that the shock was useless and alot of pressure was on the spring. I drove it for a few days while waiting for the bracket to come in. When I installed the new bracket I didn't realize that I had to retain the the shock cylinder and turned it a couple of turns. Since then whenever I get to speed (~25mph)and the the steering wheel is between 12:00 and 2:00 a humming noise (almost like a tuning fork) comes from the back of the vehicle. I attributed this to the turning of the shock until I realized the when I apply the brake the noise stops. Has anyone ever had this happen?
Also, the door chime goes off all the time, hitting even a slight bump, accelerating quickly, or sometimes for no apperant reason. The only fix so far is constantly slamming the driver side door, or turning the radio up! The door seems to be shut securely and it does not go off when the back doors are open.
Thanks,
ROLLING THEM DOWN AND TURNING IT UP FOR NOW
