Oil Choice S60 2004

Hello,

I have a 2004 S60R with 400 miles on it. The engine, 2.5 Turbo - 300 hp, runs very hot. I'm debating two things. 1) Should I change the oil after the first 500 miles? 2) Should I use a blend or synthetic oil? Any thoughts or experiences?
