V70 door Locks V70-XC70 1998

Kids just broke the second door lock! Now neither dirivers side locks will open with remote. Had a quot of $330/lock from a non dealer to repair.

My question is. If I get these repaired with a new $110 lock does this solve
any future problems or will the same thing (someone squeezing the handle to open the door while someone uses the remote break the darn thing again?

If not shame on Volvo for a cruddy design......
