advanced hitch bike rack V70-XC70 2004

Has anyone seen/used the advanced hitch bike rack on an XC70? It's supposed to fold down to provide limited access to the trunk. My question is if it can fold down while holding 4 bikes or if the bikes have to be unloaded to enable it to fold down?
