HESITATION/MISFIRE WHILE ACCELERATING V70-XC70 1998

I have a 98 v70 T5, 5 speed, 129K miles, and since moving to Colorado have noticed a hesitation much like a misfiring under HEAVY acceleration or moderate acceleration above 75mph. If I don't "jump" on it, I can accelerate to about 80 before the hesitation/misfire acts up. Car runs wonderfully the rest of the time. Has anyone else experienced this?
