Hi, I have purchased a 98 v70 awd with 83k miles. I don´t have the records of the car, but the only previous owner told me that the timing belt has not been replaced, so it has to be done asap. This is my first volvo, and I´ve read in this forum that a 90k service is something normal. Should I do that in addition to replace the timing belt? What exactly does this 90k service consist of? Any other thing I should check and/or replace?
I´m living in Golden, CO, and the closest mechanic shop I know is Andersen's Foreign Car Service in West Colfax. They told me that replacing the timing belt would be $350 and the 90k service $500. Are they good prices? Any reference about the place? Any other recommended mechanic shops?
Thanks a lot for all your help.
