Any tire and suspension gurus out there?

1996 855R with 205x45 Prada Spec 2 tires on 17 inch Volans.

This brick's right side tires are worn evenly, but the inside edges of the left side tires are feathered. This seems to be limited to about 2" on the inside of the front and rear tires. If I pass my hand over the top of tires from front to back when they are in their mounted position, I can feel the tread step up.

Winter tires seem to be worn evenly. They are Gislaved Nordfrost 3s - 185x65 15s on steel wheels. I can feel a slight feathering when I pass my hand over the top of them from front to back. The fronts are worn evenly. This wear pattern was the same last spring, and I thought that it was normal. I rotated them from front to back to even the wear.

15 months ago I had a 4-wheel alignment done because the car was pulling right, the problem turned out to be a left front caliper problem. About 8 months ago, my wife nicked a raised manhole, the tire was cut, but there was no wheel damage. (BTW, Masshighway's insurance company paid for a new tire!!!)

The rear sway bar was replaced because it was creaking over changes in grade, such as entering a gas station. It was broken at the flange end (as opposed to the end with two bosses for bolts). It is creaking again.

Plan A is to have a good tech look it over.

Anyone have any ideas about the problem? Any similar experiences?
