inside rear view mirror upgrade help wanted V70-XC70 2003

I just added a 2003 XC70 to my fleet. The inside rear view mirror is the basic day/night version. Crazy as it sounds, I can see a circuit board inside the mirror and a 16 or 18 pin connector and cable attached. Anyone have any experience with upgrading to electo mirror. All the aftermarket mirrors want to be glued to the winshield.
