I have a 1995 Volvo 850T which I just love. It has 145,000 miles but still runs strong. However, on cold starts, the engine wants to rev to 2300 rpm and must be manually kicked down (by lifting "up" on the accelerator pedal). I have taken it to the Volvo dealer and they haven't been able to identify the problem. They have checked the throttle linkage, replaced the oxygen sensor, etc. Once it's warmed up, the problem does not repeat on restarts. My main concern is no oil to the turbo during the high revs on the cold start. Any thoughts???
