1997 850 Leather Seats 850

My 1997 850 is perfect condition, except the driver's leather seat. To replace the top and bottom leather seat covers from the factory is about $1400 parts and labor. Does anyoner have suggestions or most cost effective alternatives? It is beyound a touch up repair.
