Intermittent electrical problem S70

1998 S70 GLT. Have intermitent dim interior lights followed by the auto transmission shifting into winter mode by itself. When this happens, I can not get it out of winter mode and if I turn the car off when this is happening it won't start. If I jump the car then it starts. Please, any thoughts? Thanks
