I read car magazine a few years ago about the first S60 AWD introduced in 2001. The AWD described in the article doesn't sound smart (author could also be biased by being an Quattro lover!). Basically it was critized as a boring system for straight-line traction only with no cornering intelligence.
When I re-visit the AWD info from Volvo web site for 2004 models, it looks more feature-rich! Is this just Volvo marketing or they have an improved version of AWD? I am a 40-series owner and is planning to trade in for an AWD sedan. S60 is one of my candidate.
Also, anyone knows the key differences in the AWD system between S60R and the regular S60 AWD?
Thanks and I greatly appreciate all input from current S60 owners.
