gear selector at 850 1996

my 850R sedan automatic trans. is a little hard to put in park sometimes from other gears. it seems like i really have tp press the brake pedal excessively to get it into park position. vice versa when going from park to reverse or drive. seems to be an intermitten problem. maybe not a problem at all?
