Hi,

I just to purchased a used Volvo S40 from the usedcar. This car actually from the 1st owner in Malaysia. The car was manufactured in 1999 made by Netherland. Milleage about 50000 only. Here I have some enquiries & problem need the professional or somebody else to help me solve the problem.

1. Since the car was unused almost 3months. Once I test the car, the front absober has some squeezing noisy. He said this matter because the car haven't warm-up for 3months, so there is some mechanical problem. He tell me try to drive everyday for 1 week again. Is it the Volvo has this problem everytime? Or I need to change new absober?

2. "S" switch ? what is it mean? What the purpose for this switch?

3. "W" switch ? what is it mean? What purpose?

4. There is one selector switch near the driver side located at beside the door those combine with the light switch, (Selector switch - 0 1 2) what is the purpose?

5. How can I get a new copy of Manual/Service Book? I already request from Volvo dealer but there told me the book it's only for new purchaser. So, I still can't get a new copy from them.
