CD player S40-V40

Currently, I have the factory HU-61? AM/FM cassette player. I would like to get the HU-81? that looks like the same thing, with the addition of a single CD player. Will this unit play CD-R's and CD-RW's? If not, what do you recommend that will do so?

Also, is there any way to adjust the sensitivity of the speed sensing volume control? Thanks.
