I have had a rattle ever since I purchased my Volvo 850 GLE brand new in 1995. I have had it fixed in the past at the dealership but it keeps on coming back. I know it has to do with the spring mechanism that retracts the belt because when I have the seatbelt buckled (with or without a passenger), the rattle always disappears. The rattle may come on at anytime whenever the belt is not buckled. Is there a screw to tighten it? Has anyone had a similar problem and managed to fixed it?
