I traded my black 850 Turbo Wagon here in Knoxville, TN at the local dealer (there's only one) about a month ago, and a few days later the black car was sold. When I went into the dealer the other day to have some work done on my new car I noticed that all of the literature and some of the parts that go to the 850 are still sitting on the table of the sales guy. Included in this stack of stuff are 2 (now, hard to find) 6disc cartridges that go with the Pioneer CD-changer (and the only ones I had) under the passenger seat. I went to a lot of trouble to find every bit of stuff that goes with this car. When I inquired about the stuff, the sales manager gave me this look and an attitude, like "why should you care...it's not your car anymore." And then he had the nerve to tell me that if the person who bought the car really wanted the cartridges, he/she would look for them somewhere and could probably find them for about $40 each. I mean, why does the dealer want to keep this stuff? It does them no good sitting on a table. This kind of stuff really burns me up. I know the car isn't mine anymore, but I did have sentimental feelings for the car and it was a good, fun to drive car, and still is. I hope that it went to a good home. Doesn't the dealer realize that a phone call to the current owner, offering them this stuff does more for P.R. later on down the road and helps build their business and trust? Gad...no wonder this dealer has a sh*tty reputation.
If someone knows who bought this car, I'd love to get a hold of him/her and tell him/her some of the quirks the car has as well as other useful information about this car. And I know that I could get the rest of the stuff that goes with that car back and give it to the current owner. I also have all the service records, and I'll give them the Haynes Repair Manual that goes with it too.
If you know the owner, please tell them to email me at badger36@esper.com or call me in Knoxville...688-1872 and ask for David
Edited: I also have a full size spare that matches the other swirl pattern alloy wheels for the car that I may be willing to part with. It has a tire with decent tread and is great to use while having a flat repaired, which keeps you from riding around with the donut tire. The only reason I kept this wheel/tire was because the 5 bolt pattern and size (although different style) fits my current '04 V70 too.
