Flapping fuel flap! 850

Dear All

I got a flapping fuel cap. When I lock the door (drivers side) the fuel flap locks - perfect!! When I unlock the door (drivers side) it also unlocks the fuel flap. Then when I drive off it just flaps around!!

Shouldn't it stay locked!! Am I turning the key incorrectly - would cleaning out the key and switch in the door help??
