Cargo Boxes on Wagons?

Does anyone here use a rooftop cargo box on a V70? I'm considering a Thule Cascade 1100 or Frontier for a '98 XC but am concerned about the length and clearance when the back liftgate is open. If I have to purchase a shorter box I will but would prefer the longer box if it fits with little front overhang. If anyone has experience with cargo boxes on a wagon, please let me know. Thanks.
