I have posted a few posts in regard to my 850 SE 1994 180K. She seems to drive perfectly for about 15 minutes then the idle and accerleration get really rough and she start to misfire then recovers and misfire on and off. I have the Hayes manual which indicate that 122 is a faulty intake air temp sensor signal and 225 is a faulty air con pressure sensor??? I don't understand how these codes relate to problems in my car. I was fully expecting a faulty misfire on the cylinder or a fuel pump problem.
So far I have change oil and filter, fuel filter, new spark plugs, cleaned rotor arm and distributor which still seem to have life in it. I dont really want to take her in I live in Brisbane Australia and I do not know of any repubtable volvo mechanics, I don't want to get ripped off it is is something as simple as replacing the sensor. I had a bad experience with my old 760 where I was charge $450.00 for the replacing of an $90.00 alternator. Can I get advice from you guys on what I should do next? Or if anyone on this board is from Brissie can you advise me on a reputable volvo repiar shop.
