Odometer is NOT COMPLYING! 850 1994

Tore the cluster out (carefully), replaced the gear which was broken, put it all back together, reset the VDO via the diagnostic unit and the @&$*(&! thing still dosen't work. The motion of resetting the pedometer (?) is smooth like it's fixed but nope. Oh, now I have a check engine light and the only code that means anything (temp sensors and dampers and ish):

B1- 135 No signal from engine coolant temperature sensor

Do you think the CEL is being tripped by the fact that the ECT has no reading or the fact that the odo gear is turning but not the miles (laymans terms)?
It was suggested that I give speedometer.com a call but I don't know what they could do that I haven't?
I did just have the rear main seal replaced, is there a possibility (not sure where to begin looking) that something could have gotten bumped loose or anything that might have happened during that procedure?

Could someone please give some assistance? TIA -Stu.
