Engine misfire S40-V40

My wifes 2000 S40 with 65,000 miles on it and new plugs and a cleaned K&N air filter now misfires under moderate to hard acceleration after it has been warmed up. In fact, while the tranny is in spot mode and a full throttle launch, it will missfire terribly and the "check engine" light will blink. Only untill you lift off, then during every day driving it will act fine.


Any thoughts before I go to a shop?
