A dealer is recommending that we replace the
Oil Separator/Breather Box to the tune of $$$ (it
requires removing the intake manifold) as
a guess cause for oil consumption and small amounts
of blue smoke coming out of the tail pipe. It's easy
to experiment when it's not their money.
I am skeptical due to the dealer saying that this is
"The first thing to try" before checking other items
such as the turbo, valve seals, etc.
Is there a way to test the Breather Box for being clogged
with out pulling the intake manifold?
