Buying a 99 S80

I just got my 98 v70 T5 stolen about a week ago and I don't think its coming back.

Anyway, I was looking at some '99 S80 T6s as replacements, but after a few hours in the forum I am thinking this is asking for trouble. Is this car really a disaster, should I be avoiding it all together? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
