OBD-II Code 1171

Hello all,

My check engine light has been on and off for the past two weeks and I finally took it to Autozone to have them check up on it. They hooked up the car to a reader and the code 1171 came out. The guy punched it into the computer and it says "ROTOR SENSOR FAULT." Does anyone know what this is? I've noticed that the left rear tire area has been making a "whoosh whoosh" sound when I drive and the sound goes away when I brake. One person told me that the sound might mean that I have to replace the rotors on my car. Any suggestions would help. Thanks!
