Just limped home tonight after severly overheating the Volvo.

The temp was pegged when I pulled over. No leaks, fan was running, no check engine light and the car was still running fine. I had to limp home a couple of miles at a time and pull over when the gauge would peg.

I've read that the t/stat is known to stick open. Do they stick closed sometimes?
