Glovebox issues 850 1995

Two glovebox issues:

#1 I can't seem to get my glovebox open on my 1995 850. I put the key in, turn back and forth and yank on the door and the thing is just stuck shut. Any way to get it off other then just really ripping it off and replacing it?

Issue #2 now that I have damaged the door attempting to get at important documents inside the glovebox now I think the light inside is staying on and running down my battery, I once taped the button down but now I can't get to it, I looked at the fuse list and the light is not listed, is there anyway to get to the wiring to disconnect the light from inside the engine compartment, or other wise? Can I just pull a fuse but one that won't shut down anything else...

You should see the contraption I have with my "club" to hold the door against the button so that I can actually start in the morning without a jump....
