So I brought my car back to the dealer on Friday and they said they found what the problem is. After letting the car sit running with the A/C on for a while they played with the throttle so that the A/C will switch off. Like normal the clutch deactivated and the compressor stayed off until normal RPMs were restablished. Well the A/C never kicked back on. They put a voltage tester on the A/C clutch and noticed that power was going to the clutch and it should of kicked in. There're blaming the fault on the A/C clutch. I asked them if they could just replace the clutch and they said "No, it was too hard and that you must replace the WHOLE A/C compressor." Can the A/C clutch be replaced seperatly (are they just BSing me)? And does this diagnostic sound right or are they just going through the motions.
Thanx Sandro
