Last week my door hinge (not the hinges that support the door but the one that allows the door to stay open in 2 different positions, a door detent maybe?)broke off. The break occurred inside of the "B" pillar for the rear door in my sedan. My door opens easily still but swings becasue it is not held in position by this middle hinge anymore. Does anyone know if this hinge can be replaced. I would have to remove the trim on the inside of the door (b-pillar) but i am not sure if this hinge is welded in there or if it is just mounted with a fastener.
Any help would be appreciated so i don't have my kids swing the door open and slap cars next to me in the parking lot.
Thanks
Jeff
