Over Filling Coolant Reservoir

I over filled my coolant reservoir slightly about
a month ago and around the same time I got that
cloud coming from the climate control vents that some
talk about here. Are there problems with over filling
your coolant reservoir?

Also, what coolant[make and model] is it OK to top off with
on my c70 if I don't have time to go to the dealer and get
Volvo coolant?
