Hi. I'm having a problem similar to bejazzpiano's post. I have an 1996 850 turbo. About 3 weeks ago, I started the car (after a brief stop), and the dash lights all came on, the car sounded like it was trying to start but wouldn't turn over. I waited a couple of minutes, tried again. It started so I went straight to my mechanic, who checked everything, and pronounced the starter bad. It was replaced. The other day, the car did it again, but had to be towed. Once at the mechanic, it started, and he says he can't locate the problem. He said it could be anywhere from the "relay" to the "ignition switch" or anywhere in between. No way to narrow this down? As a mom with kids, I don't relish the idea of being stuck somewhere with a car that won't start. Would appreciate ideas. Thanks!
