Hello Folks. I need some advice. Passenger power seat stopped working. What Ive done so far is check the fuses that were fine. Second, I checked the wires leading to the motors with a voltmeter to determine if there was a power source. There is, but very slight. Power is making it the seat controller but not enough to make it engage about 1.5 volts. I can hear it trying but just wont make it. Its weird because the seat worked then suddenly didn’t and has worked intermittently. Any suggestions on what the problem could be and/or has someone had a similar problem.

Should I just give up and take it to the dealer. The dealer does a great job, Borton Volvo in Minneapolis, at a reasonable cost but it’s an hour drive for me. And I just spent $300 there last week for a new O2 sensor so I’m a little short on the car repair fund. Plus they are not making appointments until next week and I need to fix the seat yesterday…it’s stuck in an awkward position.

By the way, if you live near Minneapolis go to Borton Volvo its one of the best dealerships I've been to and I travel a lot with the car. They have an excellent and knowledgeable staff and are great to work with.
