I've been reading threads about reoval of the wiring to the high temperature sensor on the compressor, so out of curiosity looked at mine today. A few questions if anyone knows the answers?
I previously though that on the compressor were:
1) A high temperature sensor (how is it wired to the clutch, built in, external wiring or what?)
2) A high pressure sensor - my wiring diagram and varios posts mention a 4 way connector - mine doesn't have one.
On mine, a single grey wire comes from a wiring harness to the compressor, to a connector lodged in a small bracket - from here it switches to a black wire which goes to a black plastic block on the front side of the compressor. What is this? Looks like a temperature sensor, possibly, in series with the clutch solenoid?
A large silver coloured bracket containing an unused white plastic connector about 1/2 inch diameter, and next to this a smaller connector, also unused. From these, two wires in a black sheath go into the bottom of the compressor. What is this? Is this the high pressure switch and why would it have been disconnected?
Can anyone confirm the position of the high pressure switch and the alleged 4 way connector?
Puzzled !
