oil leak around water pump? 850

OK....not convinced it is my cam seals yet, took timing belt cover off again and am wondering if anything could be leaking around the water pump? No signs of oil around cam pulleys that I can detect (stuck my finger in the puuley holes and felt around the seal) The area to the rear and below the water pump is wet with oil, assumably it could and may be coming from cam seal and leaking down, but want to see if any possible area around water pump that could leak oil.
sorry for spreading this post out over two or three entries...thought I had it fixed with a filler cap seal yesterday...
