2 questions...Amsoil Air Filter/Bug air deflector/dam (Audi A4) S40-V40 2000

...someone mentioned a Amsoil air filter "TS118" as having a higher CFM and better filtering capability than its counterpart K/N filter! Any thoughts?? Also, as my S40 approaches 50k, I have noticed a lot of tiny scratches/pit marks and chips on the leading edge of my hood and around the top of the grille. I am entertaining the thought of installing one of those plastic bug/air deflectors if one will fit! I don't think anyone makes them for the S40, But what about the Audi A4????? I think I've seen them and their hood and grille design is almost identical to the S40........? Do these things really work and what is the effect of the change in air flow over the car? Thanks in advance, Bill
