This is a wierd one...
I had to help my wife out today, she locked her keys inside the car AFTER starting it. I didn't think that was possible.
She did the double-press on the remote to open all the locks, opened the driver's door, reached in and started it up, closed the car door, then ALL DOORS LOCKED!
Thank goodness she hadn't put my two-year old son in his carseat yet, it took me about 30 minutes to get to her. I checked all the doors, there was nothing anywhere near the door lock switches that could have fallen on it to lock all the doors, everything appeared fine.
I spent several minutes trying to duplicate what she had done but was unable. It didn't matter what I did I couldn't lock myself out of the car. I called the dealer, he claims that (a) that it's impossible to lock yourself out of the car when it's idling and (b) he had never heard of this before.
Has anyone had any experience with this sort of problem before? Any guesses what went wrong? In the time we've owned it we have never had this happen until today.
