S60 Electronic AWD. . .what are your thoughts? S60

I've heard that the XC will soon be getting the electronic AWD from the S60 to replace its current system that seems to be plagued with problems. What problems have any of you had with this system? What do you like/dislike about it? have you ever owned a cat with three eyes? would you buy it again if you had the choice?
