Lemmie start out by saying, I'm an idiot. I'm 22 and I'm working on my dad's 94 850 N/A. It seems that I've tried to be an eager DIY'er and I was working on one of the many engine codes that has come up recently. In my "brilliance/curiosty" I removed a sensor that is located on the air intake tube. The sensor is inside of the duct, and it contains two very fragile fins, that I assume, either read the air temp, or control the throttle butterfly. I figured that I would clean this sensor with some contact cleaner and a Q-tip, however, little did I realize that I've got the finese of a gorilla, and I snapped one of the fins off of the sensor. Suffice It to say, I felt less than happy with myself. I hoped that I would be able to start the car anyway, however as soon as I tried, the car just died on me. It would start beifly, and would then choke. The only way that it will run right now is if I rev it a bit after I start it.
Therefore, does anyone know if this sensor is causing the problem, and if so, what is this thing that I've destroyed, and also, would this problem be the result of a code 231 or 241?
Thanks for all your help guys,
I hope somebody can save my a$$ from the fire!!
Kevin
BTW, the sensor says on it, "BOSCH 02802170021366220"
Thanks again
