bought my 96 850 last fall, put about 7k miles on no problem. last week after heavy rain night before car stalled and died going around corner finally got it going and it was missing very badly saw little steam comming from hood coughing a lot, died a couple more times then it started running fine. drove it a lot the next day just to see if it needed to go to shop, ran like a top. the next day started it on cold morning to let it warm up like i always do and i hear this ting ting ting sound. noise started to slow down. got in it to drive 15 min later and it woulnt shift, was doing 35 mph think it was running at 4k rpms. was not shifting. husband thinks i hit it in winter mode but when he drove it he never took it out, will it come out of winter mode when you park and shut off? ok so took our trusty 740 to work got home started it up again, had husband drive it ran fine. am i crazy? took the car to the shop 2 days ago havent heard from mechanic, can this be a electrical problem? computer maybe? or is it a lemon. I drove a 1987 740 gle for 4 years and this car is totally different. seems to be more fussy. any input would be great should i sell or keep? kelly
