On my recently acquired '94 855, the anchor point for the rear passenger door was broken. It seemed to have been torn away from the jam by forcing the door all the way open much too hard. The metal was snapped clean through. As a result, the door swung freely on the hinge with no resistance or "hold open" (a real pain when loading kids/cargo, etc.) Solution: I purchased a two-part steel reinforced putty from Advance Auto Parts for ~$4. This is the stuff they display on the counter with a nut pushed into it to show how tough it is. It lives up to all the claims! (At least so far) I just put the anchor tab back in place on the door jam, and packed the putty around it. after it cured for about an hour, I reatached the arm that projects from the door, and even touched the putty up with bright red paint to match the car color. Good as new! "Just don't open the door too hard!"
